Portland artist Barbara Eiswerth returns to the garden in her newest work, finding inspiration in the hours after dark. Glossy leaves silently unfurl and grasses wave in the moonlight, evoking a nocturnal world in which the senses strain to comprehend mysterious forms and scents.
Eiswerth’s resume includes
studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in
Philadelphia, PA and the Marie Curie Sklodowski Universitat
in Poland. She has exhibited widely in the US, and her works are held by the
collections of the Microsoft Corporation, the Ucross
Foundation, and Princeton University. |
