Reflections On China July 25 - August 22, 2007 Baas Art Gallery is pleased to premier a suite of large-format mixed media prints by Seattle artist Dionne Haroutunian. Inspired by a recent trip to China, Haroutunian explores the paradoxes that are the result of tremendous economic growth, set against centuries of history, tradition, and aesthetics. Entitled "Ripples", the series touches upon the Buddhist belief that every action has many consequences. Haroutunian weaves a complex tapestry of imagery and color to present us with an artist's vision of modern China. ************
