Claudia Schlosser

A native of Germany, Claudia Schlosser spent time in Texas and California before moving to Kirkland, WA. Her recent work is abstract in focus, with rich neutral palettes punctuated by bursts of color. "My pieces are built up out of many layers, which I keep adding and removing until I’m satisfied with the overall look of the painting. I’m fond of employing sandpaper and razor blades, to scratch and scrape into the surface, revealing the lower strata." Visit the Madison Art Collective to experience these textures in person!
